VAG DSG Calibration Files

TuningFactory.co.uk offers 3 stages of tune for VAG Direct-Shift Gearboxes.

Stage 1

Our DSG transmission performance software improve shift speed, responsiveness and smoothness. Allowing you to use the full potential of the engine, giving the control back to the driver. Hold onto the gear through that sweeping corner without the worry of the transmission shifting up and disturbing the balance of the car, get full control with our DSG software. The Stage 1 DSG software can be run on a standard car or with Stage 1 engine ECU software.

Stage 2

For the more demanding drivers we have DSG fast road set-up; this is a semi-custom tune with a more aggressive feel, it is suitable for Stage 2 tuned vehicles, with this set-up your engines performance and vehicles modifications will be perfectly matched to your DSG Software. Stage 2 DSG will suite cars with modifications that include, performance exhausts, sport cats, de-cat, DPF delete, supercharger or turbo charger upgrades.

Stage 3

The final DSG tuning option is a custom built file that can include changes to shift speed, torque limiters, change points and launch control. This is the ultimate custom set-up for cars with extensive modifications. DSG Tuning benefits and Options RPM Limiter Adjustments The DSG has control of RPM limiters for each gear, increasing these shift points will give the driver full control and command of the engines power in the upper RPM ranges and we will set the DSG rev limit to work with your engines current set-up.

Increased Shift Response

The shift response can be increased by up to 20% providing a smoother gear changes, which reduces unnecessary clutch slip under full load acceleration protecting the clutch from premature failure. The reduced shift times you will also benefit from improved paddle-reaction-time by up to 40% in Sport mode. Torque Limiter Modifications The vehicle torque limiter/s are tuned as part of engine ECU remap, the DSG control unit has its own inbuilt torque limiters,. Tuning the DSG control unit releases the extra torque produced from your tuned engine whilst still ensuring the stability and capability of all mechanical moving hardware within the DSG transmission.

Launch Control

Launch control can be particularly effective in DSG equipped vehicles, a good launch can be achieved every time reducing ¼ mile times by maintaining a perfect throttle balance to provide maximum traction off the line.
